Milling 15-5 Stainless Steel can be challenging in itself. In the case of this Aerospace Stud Plate we achieved single operation milling with tolerances of +0.0000 – 0.0005” on a 9 up plate of parts. In addition we met our customer’s tough specification of +/-0.0005” on the stud and accomplished full threads to the complete bottom of the deep hole using a thread milling application on a CNC lathe.
